The weather is most often lovely and after Feb-April rains, the flowers and trees, grass, etc. are in full bloom and colorful glory. The full moon in May is called the Flower Moon, occurs May 12 in 2025.
It's a spectacular time to use the outdoor space to your advantage. And celebrate a few donkey birthdays!

Are you seeking a residency that will allow you to interact with others in a multi-disciplinary self-directed intensive and provide you with nature pop inspiration?
This is the best time to be in this area. The maximum participation in this cohort is 9 with two rooms available as double occupancy for creative partners or friends. Farm Stay scholarship is not available for this program, but if you are interested in this you can ask about an extended stay arriving earlier or staying later.
Priority will be given to mediums that use the outdoor space primarily for work or installation such as plein air, photography/film, sculpture/installation, fiber arts, theater, or writing, among others.
This is a nature immersion and homestead experience group residency with a summer camp flair. A maximum of 9 participants with multi-disciplinary interests.
program runs with a minimum of 3 participants.
APPLICATION DEADLINE : December 31, 2024 and late applications will be reviewed until March 1, if there are spots available. Applications will be reviewed as submitted so you don't have to wait until the deadline for this opportunity.
ITINERARY BASICS

ARRIVAL DAY/NIGHT : Welcome Group Dinner and a get-to-know each other evening filled with PechaKucha style presentation - 20 slides, 20 seconds per slide to introduce yourself to the group and what you hope to accomplish.

Full first day Monday - mid-morning we'll gather as a group for an introduction to the land with a guided Forest Therapy walk

Monday night May 12 is Flower Full Moon. We'll gather for a bonfire. Have a musical instrument or other talent you want to share (not required)?

Group dinner on arrival night, then each Saturday as a mid-experience review and a finale.

Depart Sunday or stay longer past Memorial Day.
Except for the coordinated group activities your time is your own to find your rhythm and even rest, making sure to go for a walk, skip rocks at the river, hug the donkeys, or read a book for pleasure or research, etc.

All of the benefits of being on site including the donkeys and access to the land, the furnished housing, kitchens, etc. (more info in the f.a.q. section)

What's not included? your own supplies, transportation and personal food for all other meals. Please inquire about assistance from the Nashville airport if you are flying into TN for an additional fee.
What should I bring?
You will be provided a general recommendation list.

Choose your lodging option and based on application with studio needs, plus first come first serve you'll be assigned to one of the following:
SINGLE OCCUPANCY - all of these share a bath with usually one other person (booking by first choice in application acceptance) includes local and state required sales and hospitality taxes:
Twin / Raspberry Residency (2 rooms) = $350 (ea)
Full / Lemon Lodge = $475
Twin bed / Pine Room live/work studio in Lemon Lodge = $425
Queen / Camphaus = $525
DOUBLE OCCUPANCY optional private en-suites: (booking by first choice in application acceptance. please designate if you have a roommate attending with you.) Maximum 2 occupants each room:
Full with Twin Bunk / Raspberry Residency = $700
Queen with Twin / Cat and Camphaus = $800
King with Twin / Lemon Lodge = $850
Once residency fee is paid, there are no cancellation refunds. Program fee holds your spot. Lodging fee is due within 30 days of arrival (Approximately April 10).
Can I extend my stay?
You may be able to extend your stay by arriving earlier in May or into early June for a total of four weeks on site. Please make a note of this in your application and you'll be given a quote for the additional time. Farm stay scholarship is only available for the extended stay period.
